iFly自去年底推出737NG後,在今年三月時,iFly宣布繼續堅守P3D平台並著手進行737Max的機型開發,與FlightSimLabs(FSLabs)一樣並列於少數仍繼續執行P3D大型機型開發計畫的團隊之一,而尚未隨著市場潮流轉換跑道前往微軟模擬飛行MSFS平台。

從早期的預覽照可以看出團隊已經完成了整流罩相當具有特色的CFM International LEAP-1B以及機身外型建模工作,並且正在著手進行座艙、客艙等工作項目。

由釋出的工程照中可以發現iFly B737Max相較於舊版的737NG而言,升級了包含PFD/MFD以及EFIS等航電系統,此外,也更新了起落架以及將類比式的備用水平儀升級成為數位儀表。

關於座艙的部份,至今的工程進度仍在針對座椅進行建模,而從圖片中可以看出客艙座椅有兩種艙等分別,並且將配有可活動的桌板。
iFly團隊說明737Max產品的飛行模型(Flight Model)與空氣動力(Flight Dynamics)有別於737NG而是採用全新設計,雖然目前未有確切的開發時程以及預定的釋出日期,不過相較於PMDG仍遙遙無期的MAX開發計畫,iFly 737Max還是有可能成為目前既Levelup 737Max以來另一個能夠體驗到波音新版737的選項。
